The first F2P run was a challenge to see how long it took to go from scratch to a deck that was quality enough to 4-0 a constructed tournament.

Info:

  • It took 64 days to complete a deck and 4-0 a tournament with it.
  • I played 220 games and spent 105 Event Tickets
  • Win rate effect was minimized to emulate new player experience.

Old Daily Structure:

  • 1 Event Ticket per day.
  • ~3,000 Silver per day from Login + 3rd Win
  • 2 Blue Boosters per day. (6 cards, guaranteed rare)
  • 5,000 Silver per day (from 20 online wins)

Significantly Different Prize Structure

  • Tournaments used to be 4 round Swiss.
  • Drafts split into two queues – one where you keep your cards, and one where you did not.
  • Expert (no keep) had good prize payout in a 4 round queue.
  • Casual (keep the cards) had very poor prize payout in a 4 round queue.
